Information on Securities Main Market trading session temporary interruption

On May 17, 2013 , in the course of the planned maintenance procedure, system operators detected an abnormal condition  in the trading  system of the Securities Main Market.

Exchange operators discovered the problem at 4.59pm Moscow time and made a decision to shutdown the primary system and activate the "warm" backup instance of the trading system.  Following the transfer procedure, the  backup trading system came online promptly at 5.15pm. Following that, the exchange  allowed for a 15 minute period to let participants withdraw remaining orders. Full trading resumed at 5.30pm. The trading system was unavailable for 16 minutes in total.

Trading on Derivatives and FX markets of Moscow Exchange was unaffected.

Moscow Exchange would like to extend apologies to market participants for any potential inconvenience.
