Keep your access to Exchange services: install the Russian certificates

Foreign certificate authorities have started revoking the TLS certificates of Moscow Exchange. Exchange services are being moved to certificates issued by the National Certification Authority (NCA) of the Russian Ministry of Digital Development.

What this means for you. If you do nothing, your browser will show a "Your connection is not private" warning when you open Exchange websites and services, and API integrations will start returning certificate verification errors.

What you need to do — choose one option:

  • Install the Russian certificates (recommended). Download the root and issuing certificates from https://www.gosuslugi.ru/crt and install them following the steps for your operating system. About 5 minutes; works in every browser and application.
  • Use Yandex Browser (https://browser.yandex.com) or Atom (https://browser.ru). These browsers already trust the certificates, so there is nothing to install.

If you have integrations with the Exchange (APIs, trading and information systems), a browser alone is not enough: the certificates must be installed into the trust stores of your servers and applications. Please pass these instructions to your IT team.

We recommend doing this in advance — the exact revocation date depends on the actions of foreign certificate authorities and may come at any moment.
