ABOUT PRECIOUS METALS
Precious metals – the sorts of metals that are not subject to corrosion and oxidation. These features distinguish them from other metal types. Moreover, they are also considered to be precious due to their rarity in the nature. Apart from ordinary cash-settled contracts on precious metals, the Derivatives Market of Moscow Exchange has two Deliverable futures on GOLD and SILVER which imply physical delivery.
They are called "precious" due to their high chemical resistance (practically do not oxidize in air) and beauty. Gold, silver, platinum and palladium have high ductility, and the other precious metals – very high refractoriness.
