Andrey Braginsky appointed Managing Director of Communications at Moscow Exchange

Moscow Exchange is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrey Braginsky as Managing Director of Communications.  In this role, Mr. Braginsky will lead the development and implementation of the Exchange’s communications strategy, internal communications, strategic marketing, and relations with Russian and international media.

The arrival of Andrey Braginsky is yet another example of our commitment to building a world-class professional team at Moscow Exchange”, said Andrey Shemetov, Deputy CEO of Moscow Exchange.                

Andrey Braginsky said, "Moscow Exchange is not just a successful company, but a core part of the Russian financial market infrastructure.  My primary task will be to ensure that the quality of internal and external communications is in line with the company’s exceptional position.  We will focus on transparency and ensuring a dialogue with the media in our communications policy, thereby setting a standard for all Russian issuers".

Prior to joining the Exchange, Andrey Braginsky was a consultant in the area of financial communications and investor relations.  Most recently, he played a key role in the successful IPO of MD Medical Group on the London Stock Exchange.

He has held a number of senior positions in public relations, investor relations and equity sales at companies including VTB Capital, MTS, Renaissance Capital and ING Barings.

Mr. Braginsky was in charge of public relations and marketing at the Sochi Olympics-2014 Bid Committee.  The communications campaign of the Olympic bid was awarded a number of prestigious international and domestic awards. For his work on the committee, Mr. Braginsky received the certificate of acknowledgementfrom thePresident of the Russian Federation.
