TWIME ASTS protocol launch for Equities and FX markets

We would like to inform you that starting from March 18, 2024, the Moscow Exchange launches the new TWIME ASTS trading protocol for the Equity & Bond Market and FX Market.

TWIME ASTS is a new generation binary protocol that has the same specification as FIFO TWIME ASTS (based on FIX Simple Binary Encoding) but does not support the FIFO principle when transmitting orders. The key advantages of the service include:

• Asynchronous delivery of trade orders to the trading system core
• No restrictions on performance
• Simple and intuitive development
• Unification of the protocol with the Derivatives market
• A wide range of available network solutions
• Reduced costs on development and support.

The protocol latency is similar to the existing MFIX Transactional solution.
The protocol is available in the Standard Network of the MOEX colocation, in the Universal Scheme and ConnectME.

• Information for FIFO TWIME ASTS users in the MOEX colocation:

Starting from March 18, 2024, backup of FIFO TWIME ASTS connections will be performed using the new TWIME ASTS protocol (without FIFO support), the possibility of using the MFIX Transactional protocol to backup an existing FIFO TWIME ASTS connection will be disabled. Changes on the MOEX side will be carried out without additional payment and submission of applications.
