Moscow Exchange to host financial markets conference in London

Moscow Exchange, in partnership with UBS, will convene its latest major conference for the international financial community in London on 8 December. 

Moscow Exchange Forum: London Session will provide an update on the latest developments in Russia's financial markets, and make the case for Russia as an accessible and attractive market for international investors across asset classes, with best-in-class financial infrastructure.

The high-profile speakers at the event include Alexey Kudrin, MOEX Chairman of the Board and former Finance Minister; Alexey Moiseev, Deputy Finance Minister; Nikolay Podguzov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development; and Mikhail Shamolin, President of AFK Sistema. 

Alexander Afanasiev, CEO of Moscow Exchange, said: "We value highly our relationship with the London investment community, and see this conference as a key opportunity to provide an update on what we have achieved in terms of strengthening our market and making it even more accessible to international investors. I am pleased that this year we will also give London investors a chance to hear from and interact with some of the leading lights of the Russian equity market."

In addition, leading Russian corporates will be represented at the conference, including: Aeroflot, Alrosa, Bank St Petersburg, Bashneft, Credit Bank of Moscow, Federal Agency for State Property Management, Lenta, Lukoil, Magnit, MTS, Norilsk Nickel, Novorossiysk Port, Phosagro, Promsvyazbank, Rosneft, Rusal, Rushydro, Sistema, Sberbank, Sovkomflot, TMK, United Wagon Company, VTB Bank, and Yandex. 

Moscow Exchange Forum: London Session will be held at the Andaz Hotel. Registration starts at 10:00am, and the opening plenary session gets underway at 10:30am.
