Evening trading on FORTS hits a new record high

On September 14, 2012 during the evening trading session a new trading record of RUB122.655 billion (USD3.906 billion) was set on FORTS, the futures and options market of the Moscow Exchange.

"Russian trading participants of the Derivatives market use the evening trading session to take a lead from the foreign markets that still continue trading", said Roman Sulzhyk, Managing Director of Derivatives Market. "The new measures of economic stimulation announced recently by the Federal Reserve System led to the burst of activity on the global market".

The previous record was seen on August 8, 2011, when the evening trading on FORTS amounted to RUB91.931 billion or USD3.224 billion.
