New technology of delivery under futures on the Russian Federation Government bonds (OFZ) basket

On December 05, 2012 a completely new technology of delivery under futures on the Russian Federation Government bonds (OFZ) basket was launched. In the course of this project a new special order book trading mode, “Delivery obligations under futures contracts and options on futures contracts”, was organized. During the day trading members involved in the delivery were entering anonymous orders for performance of their obligations by using this mode. Six organizations took part in the delivery. The total amount of transactions on the delivery equaled RUB1 billion.

Orders are entered anonymously in a special order book on the Securities Market during the day of delivery that gives you an opportunity to perform your obligations gradually without disclosing your name.  The advantage of integration is obvious: it is the well-coordinated work of the experts of the Derivatives Market, the Securities Market the NCC that let to complete such a complicated project successfully and in good time," – said Roman Sulzhyk, Managing Director of Derivatives Market.
