Moscow Exchange sells its stake in MICEX-IT

Moscow Exchange has sold its 100% stake in MICEX-IT to trading portal Fabrikant.ru. The transaction is in line with Moscow Exchange strategy to dispose of noncore assets. The decision to sell the stake was adopted by the Moscow Exchange Supervisory Board in December 2013. The size of the deal is RUB 440 mln.

Closed Joint Stock Company MICEX-IT is an operator of the electronic marketplace MICEX Goszakupki - one of five web sites selected for government and municipal procurements. The volume of transactions executed via the company in 2013 exceeded RUB 300 bln.
Portal Fabrikant.ru is a market leader in electronic procurement for Russian companies. In 2013 the volume of trading via the portal was more than RUB 2 trillion with over 125,000 companies using its services. Fabrikant.ru group of companies also includes six other electronic trading platforms: Oborontorg, Spetsstroytorg, Gazneftetorg, Energy–trading, Fabrikant.ua, and Pikon.ru.
