Roman Sulzhyk appointed Managing Director at MICEX-RTS
Roman Sulzhyk has been appointed Managing Director responsible for the MICEX-RTS Group's risk management system. In his new job, Roman will be in charge of implementing new risk management technologies for the MICEX-RTS Group and improvement of current ones.
"Russian and global financial systems are going through structural reforms. To improve stability of the market infrastructure, central counterparties are implemented, data on derivatives transactions are collected and regulation and oversight are intensified. In addition, the MICEX-RTS Group is currently undergoing the integration process and this also sets new tasks for the Group's risk management system. Improvement of the risk management culture, application of leading international financial institutions' best practices and implementation thereof under realistic circumstances of Russia are the key tasks of the Group's management facing me. The tasks are complicated and absorbing and I am delighted to join the Exchange's team and hope to contribute as much as possible to the improvement of the company's financial infrastructure", said Roman.
Roman Sulzhyk
Roman Sulzhyk was born in 1974. He graduated from Leeds University with a degree in Computer Science & Mathematics in 1995. In 2005 Roman received an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
He started his career by working for IT divisions of technological companies in New York during 1995-2000.
From 2000 to 2008 Roman worked for JP Morgan Chase in New York and London holding the position of Vice President. He participated in establishing the risk-management system and was engaged in trading in derivatives.
From 2008 to 2011 Roman worked as Director and headed the Derivatives Trading Division at Deutsche Bank in Moscow.
Roman is a member of the Board of ACIRussia, the organization of the financial market professional participants, the MICEX-RTS Currency Market and Derivatives Market Committees and the Board of National Foreign Exchange Association.
