"The Best Investor 2012" competition completed

On December 17, 2012 at 18.45 the biggest Exchange's competition – "The Best Private Investor, 2012" was completed.

4,064 private traders (out of 5,479 traders registered) took part in the competition, where they were performing operations in different trading instruments of the Securities, Derivatives and FX Markets of the Moscow Exchange. 

As for the main categories, 1,995 participants traded securities of Russian issuers and 1,365 participants traded Derivatives Market instruments. 139 private investors competed on the FX Market.

As for the extra categories, 234 traders were competing in the "The Best Active Trader" category and 526 participants struggled for the title of the Best Strategist. The number of participants of "The Best Trader-Millionaire" category reached 500. 1,186 investors contended for the championship in "The Best Blue-Chips Trader" this year. 12 investors were trading in the category "The Best Sofommodities Trader".

The leaders of the markets who will show the highest profits will become winners and will get 750,000 rubles:

• The Best Private investor 2012: the Securities Market;
• The Best Private investor 2012: the Derivatives market;
• The Best Private investor 2012: the FX Market.

The Jury will announce the official results of the competition on December 20, 2012.

"The Best Investor 2012" competition is organized by the Moscow Exchange. The main aim of the competition is to display the opportunity which private investors have while trading the instruments of the Securities, Derivatives and FX Markets and the profits that the Trading Participants can get on these markets by using the skills of a competent trader.  Disclosing the information about the trades and the results of the competition makes it possible to be in the course of the competition and view the strategies applied by the participants.
