On delayed start of trading session on FORTS and in the Standard sector on May 8, 2012

On May 8, 2012, the trading session on FORTS, the MICEX-RTS derivatives market, and in the Standard sector of the securities market started at 10.30am MSK instead of 10.00am MSK. The delay was due to a late completion of technical procedures aimed at preparing the trading system for work occurred because of an outage in functioning of one of the system's procedures for verification of information integrity and availability.

Upon the completion of the required technical procedures, at 10.10am MSK the trading system was available for trading members to prepare for the trading session including an opportunity to cancel orders. At 10.30am the both sectors started operating as usual.

To avoid any similar delay in the future, the MICEX-RTS Group will revise the schedule for verifying the trading system when preparing it for trading sessions as well as will consider increasing the technological interval for carring out such operations.
